Sources and Caveats:
This listing was provided on a one-time basis to UW-Madison by Academic Analytics, a company that collects information on more than 2,900 honorific awards. It is limited to faculty at UW-Madison in Fall 2008. Awards are kept active by Academic Analytics for a specified window of time after being awarded. For the most prestigious awards the record is maintained for 50 years. For less prestigious awards, the record is kept for shorter time periods.
This database is not intended to be a comprehensive list of all awards by faculty members. The vendor, Academic Analytics, makes decisions on which awards are included in the database, and the duration of time these awards are listed in the database. While feedback is useful, at this time there is no systematic way to update the listings for faculty members. We will continue to have conversations with Academic Analytics with regards to award inclusion or exclusion, and will explore possibilities for an updated listing sometime in the future.
