Charts showing Fall Semester Enrollment Levels Within Each Major Since 1989
Notes: If the name of a major has changed since 1989,
the major is shown under its current name together with the enrollments which originally occurred under its old name. If a major has merged into another major since 1989,
it is included under the name of the new combined major for the period prior to the merger. Some majors span across multiple schools and colleges; in these cases, the major may be shown separately within each of the participating schools and colleges especially if it has high enrollment levels (Biology, for example). Majors with extremely low enrollment levels are generally excluded, especially if they are no longer active. New majors are included regardless of whether their enrollment levels are still low.
