ACCREDITATION
Institutional Accreditation:
- The 2009 Reaccreditation Project: UW-Madison - A Great Public University
- The 1999 Reaccreditation Project: New Directions
- North Central Association Higher Learning Commission
Specialized Accreditation: Many UW-Madison programs are subject to specialized accreditation. Accreditation reviews generally require a self-study and an outside evaluation team, so most of the accredited professional schools use these reviews as "program reviews". In some cases, (Engineering, for example), units also conduct internal program reviews of programs that are also subject to accreditation reviews. In other cases (Medicine, Education, CALS, for example), accreditation reviews of some programs and internal reviews of others constitute the program review activity.
